Terms of Use

The terms that govern your use of the app

Last updated: 6 September 2026

In short. By using ZULFAA you agree to these Terms.

These Terms explain what ZULFAA provides, what you can expect from it, and what is expected of you when you use it. They are written in plain language wherever the law allows.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By using ZULFAA you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. If you use ZULFAA on someone else's behalf, you confirm that you are allowed to do so.

2. About ZULFAA

ZULFAA is an Islamic app that brings together prayer times, Qibla direction, the Qur'an, tafsir, adhkar, du'a, Islamic occasions, reminders, and a daily knowledge challenge. It is designed and developed by MONER INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS for Android and iPhone.

3. Eligibility and your responsibilities

You should be legally able to accept these Terms where you live; if you are a minor, use ZULFAA with the consent of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for your own device and for the settings you choose — such as your location and calculation method — because what the app shows you depends on them.

4. Religious and informational content

ZULFAA offers Islamic tools and content to support your daily worship. It does not issue religious rulings and is not a substitute for qualified scholars or your local religious authority. For matters that require a ruling or a considered opinion, please consult people of knowledge.

5. Prayer times and qibla

Prayer times are calculated from the settings you choose — such as calculation method, madhhab and any manual adjustments — and from the location in use. Qibla direction depends on your location and on your device's sensors, and its accuracy can be affected by magnetic interference, device limitations, location accuracy or system timing. For anything important, we recommend confirming times and direction with a trusted local source.

6. The Hijri calendar and Ramadan dates

The Hijri dates the app shows — including upcoming occasions and the beginning and end of Ramadan — are calculated from the Umm al-Qura calendar, a published arithmetic projection. The real beginning of a month is settled by moon sighting or by the authority you follow, and can differ from the calculation by a day in many countries in many years. What the app shows is therefore an estimate, it says so, and it is not on its own a basis for a religious decision. Choosing which authority to follow is yours alone, and where they differ, theirs is the answer.

7. Qur'an, tafsir, adhkar and their sources

The Qur'an text, translations, tafsir, adhkar and du'as come from established external sources, each credited inside the app. ZULFAA does not claim ownership of that content; it remains with its rights holders and subject to their terms. Content fetched from external services may change or become unavailable for reasons outside our control.

Some renderings are ZULFAA's own rather than a published edition: the English and Dutch du'a titles; the Dutch renderings of the meaning of Qur'anic du'as; the Dutch of the prophetic du'as and of the adhkar, which includes several Qur'anic passages rendered into Dutch; the English and Dutch of the Daily Challenge questions; and, in two adhkar, an English rendering made by ZULFAA where the compilation's own English does not match the Arabic shown with it. These are credited to ZULFAA inside the app, are offered as an aid to understanding rather than as a translation of the Qur'an, and have not been reviewed by an independent scholarly body. Where precision matters, rely on a published edition and on people of knowledge.

8. Notifications and reminders

On supported devices ZULFAA may provide local reminders: the five daily prayers, a pre-prayer reminder, morning and evening adhkar, your Qur'an wird and Islamic occasions. You control these preferences, and your device's system permissions may be required. When a reminder actually arrives can depend on your device, its operating system and its battery settings, so precise delivery cannot be guaranteed on every device. Prayers set to adhan mode play the adhan bundled with the app where that is supported.

9. Daily Challenge, tokens and the Honor Board

The Daily Challenge is an in-app knowledge feature, and tokens are an internal ZULFAA score that reflects your activity in it. Tokens are not money and not cryptocurrency. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and cannot be redeemed for money or any financial benefit. Honor Board rankings may change over time. Where answers are automated, manipulated, fraudulent or otherwise abused, we may correct or remove scores, or restrict access, to the extent that is proportionate.

10. Accounts and access

Most of ZULFAA works without any account. To take part in the Daily Challenge and the Honor Board, ZULFAA creates a competition identity linked to your device, and you may choose a username that appears on the Honor Board. You are responsible for the username you choose. You can delete your competition account from within the app, and you can separately clear the ZULFAA data stored on your device; both controls are explained in the app.

11. Acceptable use

Please use ZULFAA lawfully and respectfully. You may not manipulate Daily Challenge results or use automated means to gain tokens, attempt unauthorised access to the service or to other people's accounts, disrupt the service or exploit a security weakness in it, or impersonate anyone or use an offensive or unlawful username.

12. Intellectual property

ZULFAA's software, design, interface, branding, name, logo and original graphics belong to MONER INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS and are protected by applicable law. They may not be copied, modified or distributed without permission. This does not extend to the externally sourced religious content, which remains with its rights holders as credited in the app's sources page.

13. Paid app and store transactions

Where ZULFAA is sold, it is a one-time paid app. There is no recurring ZULFAA subscription, no in-app purchases and no way to buy tokens. Purchases and payments are handled by the relevant app store and are governed by that store's terms and refund rules; refunds are handled by the store.

14. Third-party sources, services and links

ZULFAA may rely on or refer to external sources and services, such as the religious content providers credited in the app. Those parties are independent of us, have their own terms and policies, and we do not control their availability, continuity or content.

15. Availability, updates and changes

We may fix problems, improve features, update content, and change or discontinue functionality where that is reasonably necessary. We do not promise that every feature will always be available or uninterrupted, and some features depend on an internet connection or on what your device supports.

16. Disclaimer

We take reasonable care to make ZULFAA work as described, but it is provided without a guarantee that it will be error-free, always available, or accurate in every situation. Nothing in this section limits the mandatory consumer rights you have under the law that applies to you; those rights continue to apply.

17. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for gross negligence, for personal injury, or under mandatory consumer protection law.

18. Restricting or ending access

We may restrict or end access to the competition features if these Terms are breached, or in cases of manipulation or abuse, and only to an extent proportionate to what happened. Features that run on your own device — prayer times, the Qur'an, adhkar and qibla — are unaffected.

19. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how ZULFAA handles your data. It is a separate document that complements these Terms.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated, and continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated version.

21. Applicable law

These Terms apply without prejudice to the mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence; those rights always remain available to you. A formal governing-law jurisdiction has not yet been established for this app and will be confirmed before public release.
