Data Deletion

How to delete your ZULFAA account and data

Last updated: 27 August 2026

In short. You can delete everything yourself, from inside the app, in a few taps — no message to anyone and no waiting. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

1. App and developer

App: ZULFAA (Android package identifier com.zulfaa.app)
Developer: MONER INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS
Privacy and support contact: moner.intelligence@gmail.com

ZULFAA never asks for your real name, email address, phone number or date of birth, and it has no password. The only account it creates is a technical account used for the ranked Daily Challenge. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

2. Delete your data in the app

This is the direct route and the one we recommend: it needs no message to anyone, and it takes effect immediately.

Open the controls

  1. Open ZULFAA.
  2. Tap the menu button (☰) at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Privacy Policy.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of that page. The two deletion controls are there.

Delete your account on the server

  1. Under Delete competition account, tap the Delete competition account button.
  2. A confirmation sheet lists exactly what will be removed. Tap Yes, delete my account.
  3. The app confirms with "Your competition account has been deleted." The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Clear the data held on your device

  1. On the same page, under Clear local data, tap Clear local ZULFAA data.
  2. Confirm with Yes, delete everything.

The two controls are deliberately separate: clearing one device must not silently destroy an account that still exists on the server, and deleting the account must not wipe the settings on a phone you are still using. Use whichever you need, or both.

If you want everything gone, do it in this order: delete the competition account first, then clear local data or uninstall the app.

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage from Android's own app settings, removes the technical session that links this device to your competition account. If you do that before deleting the account, the account itself stays on the server and can no longer be reached from that device — see Automatic deletion for what happens to it then.

3. Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the in-app control — for example the app is already uninstalled — write to:

moner.intelligence@gmail.com

MONER INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS — the developer of ZULFAA.

Please include:

  • your ZULFAA username — the name shown on the Honor Board; and
  • a sentence saying you want your competition account deleted.

That is all we need, and it is all we ask for. Do not send passwords, identity documents, payment details or any other personal information — ZULFAA has no use for them and never asks for them.

One honest limitation: the username is the only thing that identifies an account to us. If you never chose a username, your account holds no name and no challenge history, and there is nothing in an email that could tell us which account is yours. In that case please use the in-app control, or simply leave the app — an account in that state is deleted automatically, as described below.

We act on deletion requests as soon as we read them.

4. What is deleted

Deleting the competition account — whether you do it in the app or ask us to — permanently removes everything the server holds about you:

  • The anonymous account identity itself — the technical account ZULFAA created for the competition. It is destroyed, not deactivated.
  • Your profile, including your username, which becomes available to other users again, and the activity timestamps kept with it.
  • Your Daily Challenge data — every attempt and every answer you gave, with their results.
  • Your token balance, including your lifetime total.
  • Your entire token history — the record of every award.
  • Your place on the Honor Board, which follows from the above.

These records are linked to the account and are removed together with it, in the same operation. Nothing is archived, copied elsewhere or kept in a deactivated state, and nothing can be restored afterwards. If you use the competition again later, a new account is created for you and starts from zero.

5. What is kept

No data linked to you is kept. There is no retention period on your competition data after deletion, because none of it survives the deletion.

For completeness, two things are unaffected — neither contains anything about you:

  • The question bank and the daily challenge definitions. These are the app's shared content — the questions themselves and which five were set on a given day. They are the same for every user, hold no reference to any account, and are not personal data.
  • Data stored only on your device. Deleting the account does not touch your phone. See the next section.

6. Data stored only on your device

Most of ZULFAA never reaches a server at all. Prayer times, the Qur'an, adhkar, du'as and the qibla are calculated and stored on your own device, and deleting your competition account leaves all of it untouched. To remove it you have two options.

In the appClear local ZULFAA data, on the Privacy page as described above, deletes: your prayer location and calculation settings; your notification and live-qibla preferences; your Qur'an reading progress, bookmarks, saved verses, favourites and chosen reciter; your saved and favourited du'as and adhkar; your adhkar progress; your reading history; your interface language; and the short-lived cache of tafsir passages you have opened.

From Android — uninstalling ZULFAA, or clearing its storage in your device's app settings, removes everything the app has stored, including the technical session described in section 2. This is the complete local wipe.

Note that your device may hold a backup of the app's data in your own Google account if device backup is switched on in your Android settings. That backup belongs to you and to Google, not to ZULFAA; it is managed from your device's backup settings.

7. Automatic deletion

You do not have to do anything for an unused account to disappear. Accounts are deleted automatically after a period of inactivity, and any new activity — simply opening ZULFAA — resets that period:

  • An account that is still empty — no username, no challenge attempts or answers, no token history and a zero balance — is deleted after 60 consecutive days without activity.
  • An account that carries a username or any competition history is deleted after 365 consecutive days without activity.

Automatic deletion removes exactly the same data as section 4, permanently.

These are the only time periods that apply to your data. They are deletion deadlines, not a minimum retention: you can always delete sooner, and nothing obliges us to keep your data for any length of time.
